Week of 10/20/24
Hello Ridge Families!

What a fun night we shared together this week! The energy was very high, which made for a great game of Newcomb Ball, an Amazing dinner of chicken and pork nachos, awesome worship, led by our own youth band, and great small groups that produced some good conversations.
This week we talked about different, simple ways we can worship and bring glory to God. As Christians, we should be displaying things like good attitudes, kindness, and care for others. We again focused on Joshua 1:9 and continue to encourage students to memorize this verse.

Everyone please start bringing your own water bottles. We are trying to do away with plastic and will have water jugs for you to fill your own bottles.
Upcoming Events & Activities at Ridge 6-12!

We have so many things happening:
​
Fallapalooza – October 27th, 4-6 PM
Get ready for one of our biggest events of the season! Fallapalooza is just around the corner, and it promises to be a fun-filled evening. This indoor event will feature trick-or-treating, games, concessions, and a chili cook-off. It’s open to all children in our community, and all Ridge 6-12 participants will have the chance to earn a portion of the proceeds raised for their event accounts. These funds can be used toward any upcoming Ridge 6-12 events! We need to confirm, this week, everyone who is able to participate so we can finalize all plans! Students should plan to be at the church by 3:00 to help with setup!

Ice Camp 2024 – Registration Now Open!
Mark your calendars for January 24-26! Registration is officially open for Ice Camp, an incredible weekend of fun, food, worship, and spiritual growth. This is always a highly anticipated event, so make sure to sign up early to secure your spot. The registration link is available HERE.

New Hiking Group!
A new hiking group, similar to Ridge Riders is starting this week. It will take place on Sundays before Ridge 6-12 @ 4:00. This is another great way to explore the outdoors together! We will hike through Al Sabo. Wear hiking boots and dress appropriately.​

Costa Rica Mission Trip 2025
We are thrilled to announce our return to Costa Rica for another mission trip! Scheduled for July 12-20, 2025, we’ll be partnering with Pura Vida Missions in San Ramon, serving through Vacation Bible School and various construction projects. This life-changing trip is open to all students and their families. We’ll be sharing more details on October 20, so keep an eye out!

Salvation Army Bell Ringing
​
We will again be ringing bells for the Salvation Army on December 2 and 13th from 4-7. This is a great time to hang out with friends and help those in need in our community.
​
Goodie bags for those in need
​
We are starting to collect items for those in need to be handed out through the Gospel Mission. Please start bringing items to be put in bags such as socks, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, water bottles, nylon bags or backpacks, etc. We’ll have a bin in the Oasis to place items in.
​​
It has been a great year so far at Ridge 6-12! We’ve loved spending time with both new and familiar faces. If you weren’t able to join us this week, we missed you! We’re praying for you all to have a wonderful week and can’t wait to see you on Sunday!
