Our Mission: Growing with God among friends.

Our Vision: Everyone with a friend, everyone with a place.

Week of 2/25/24

Hello Mission Families!

We had a fun night of games, food, and learning about “Agape Love” that only comes from God. Ask your students what the characteristics are of agape love. Although we will never be able to fully give that kind of love, we know that God does regardless of our circumstances.

Exciting news of our summer activity coming soon! Stayed tuned!

Looking forward to see you all again this week!

Blessings!

Week of 2/18/24

Hello Mission Families!

We are excited to see everyone this week! We hope you all had some good family time this past week! This week at The Mission we will be talking about “Love”, not just regular relationship love, but agape love. We hope to see everyone back on Sunday.

In lieu of our parent meeting, that we were going to have, we are asking that each family review our previous expectations document that we put out at the beginning of the year. Also, please look at our attached links to see where you can contribute to our program.

Blessings!

Week of 2/11/24

Hello Mission Families!

It was good to be back together this week. We learned more about Psalm 23 and that we are never alone when we have our “good shepherd” leading us. We also listened to the song Psalm 23 (I Am Not Alone) by Phil King. It’s a great reminder that no matter what we’re going through, we are never alone and can trust that God is right there with us.

We will not be meeting this week due to the Super Bowl. Enjoy this time with your families! We will resume again on February 18.

The profession of faith/mentoring program kicked off this past Sunday. We are very excited to see how God uses this time to grow both the students and mentors as they learn together.

Blessing,

Week of 2/4/24

Mission Families!

We spoke to the kids about and invited them to participate in the Profession of Faith program that is kicking off on February 4.  This is a way for the students to have a 1:1 relationship with a mature, strong Christian mentor as they work together through the curriculum, meeting 8 times over a few month period to learn what it means to walk in the path of righteousness that God has created for each of them.  The Profession of Faith program is essential to learn more about our Good Shepherd and how we are to live in the abundant life that God has prepared for us.  We are praying that each student will be excited to be engaged in this program, as we know this is something that will forever change their lives. If you haven’t let us know yet, please let us know if your student is interested so we can get them set up with a mentor. There will be a meeting on February 4 @ 5:00 for parents, students, and mentors to kick this off.

The Holy Spirit is moving in our group and transformations have already been happening! We pray that the fire that is going will continue to spread and that we are a group that is a safe haven, fun, and God honoring to those that enter our doors.

There will be no meeting on February 11th due to the Superbowl.

Have a wonderful week!

Week of 1/28/24

Mission Families!

What an amazing weekend we had at Ice Camp! We learned about Psalm 23, had great worship, had a blast in the abundant snow, but also really enjoyed being with each other! We missed the ones that were not able to join us, but hope the enthusiasm about the weekend will be shared by the ones that did go.

Week of 1/21/24

Good Morning Mission Families!

We are so thankful for all of you that braved the roads this past Sunday to get our students safely to the Mission. It was so good to be together again!

This week we talked about prayer and the importance of “catching up” with God every day. He wants to hear from us and even taught us how to do it in Matthew 6:9-13. Everyone was given scripture cards and encouraged to use these to help us pray.

This week there is No Mission because of Ice Camp. We will meet again on Sunday January 28. There will be a mandatory parent meeting before the mission at 5:00.  We hope that every will make this a priority to attend.

The profession of faith/mentoring will start in early February. Please let Elizabeth or Stacey know if your student would like to participate asap.

Please see the links below for our Mission Needs. We are desperate for people to sign up for food!

See you on Friday for Ice Camp!
