What is 180?

180 is the High School ministry at Southridge.  The name came from the idea that through our relationship with Jesus our perspective on life takes a 180 degree turn from living for the world to living for God. We realize that life can be tough, busy, confusing, and just plain chaos, so we are here to be a place where we can come, hang out, be ourselves, build relationships, and discover who we are and who we are becoming.

Do I have to be into God to come to 180?

No, you don't have to have grown up in the church or know the books of the Bible or the 10 Commandments.  Sunday nights would be a great opportunity for you to come and check out who we are and what God might be trying to show you.  Sunday nights are designed specifically for people with little or poor church experience.

What other things does 180 do?

We have a Monday Night Bible Study at 7:30, a yearly Square Dance, retreat, Christmas Caroling, Gift Giving to Needy Families, and BIG NIGHT (Road Rally Meets Picture Scavenger Hunt). We also have Service Projects to help the community, like sorting food for Loaves and Fishes, and serving lunch at Ministry With Community.

What is FBI©?

FBI© is the Middle School Ministry here at Southridge. FBI© stands for Fellow Believers in Christ. We are a group of 120+ students from 16 different area Middle Schools. The ministry is a wonderful place to connect with others, find support in this crazy world, and enjoy time with peers and caring adults.

What do you do at FBI©?

FBI© offers something for everyone. Whether you've been a Christian your whole life, or have never even thought about God, FBI© has something for you. Your weekly Friday Night FBI© meeting is a comfortable place for all Middle Schoolers. Fridays are specifically designed for students with little or no church background. There will be time to hang out and spend time play basketball, pool, and video games, just talking with friends, or eating snacks. You'll also have an opportunity to learn about subjects that are real to your life through music, drama, dance, media, and teaching, then have a chance to discuss with other students how those topics affect your life. FBI© will meet weekly during the school year on Friday evenings from 7:00-9:00pm.
