What is their Mission?
The purpose of International Student Fellowship is to raise up international "influencers" for Christ. The ministry has several established goals including:
Relational Goals:
- To create space for internationals to experience God's grace.
- To develop trust relationships in which students can enjoy the freedom of discussion and the exchange of ideas.
Witnessing Goals:
- To offer opportunities to explore the Biblical message.
- To invite Internationals to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Discipleship Goals:
- To follow up and disciple new believers.
- To build vision, passion, and commitment for a life time of spiritual growth, witness and fellowship in community.
What Can You Do to Help?
A terrific way to become more intimately involved with ISF is to supply all or part of the food for an international lunch. Every week it is amazing to watch a couple hundred international students be fed in a physical way by the Body of Christ, but then also to be invited to explore Jesus, the Bread of Life. A staff member from ISF would be happy to walk with SRC through this process. The main thing that is needed is a point person within the church with a heart and gift for hospitality. Beyond the financial, please consider whether your church would want to be involved in this way. It really does spur a vision for this ministry, especially for those who come to the lunch and serve.
