Our mission is to provide a foundation for the continuing development of an active faith-based relationship with Jesus Christ for children ages infant through fifth grade.  Southridge recognizes that the teachers and assistants that work with our children are volunteers who love the Lord and children.  They have a variety of gifts that they want to share.  As a children's ministry, we feel it is important to support and encourage a teachable atmosphere in each classroom.

Classes are offered on Sunday mornings during each service (9:00 a.m. & 11:00 a.m.)

Nursery
We cherish your child as a gift from God and will provide quality care in a fun, loving and safe environment.   Our caregivers share a love of Jesus Christ and children!  Our Nursery is currently divided into three rooms to promote safety:

• Infants       Birth to about 1 year
• Crawler     1 - 2 years
• Toddler     2 - 3 years

Little Lambs Program

On Sunday mornings we offer a short story and activity for our oldest nursery participants.  this program helps introduce Bible concepts and helps prepare them for our preschool program.

Preschool-Kindergarten

Each week the kids will join the elementary children in the Oasis for praise music and fellowship.  Afterwards they will return to their classroom for our program called Hands On Bible.  In Hands On Bible we teach as Jesus taught, using fun surprises that children can touch, see, and smell to relate eternal truths they won’t forget. Each Bible lesson is fun for kids and packed with moments of discovery so that children come out of Sunday school excited to share what they’ve learned. 

Our Hands On Bible program is divided into two rooms.  Children who are 3 and 4 years old will be in room 138 and children who are age 5  and/or in kindergarten will be in room 146.  

Elementary
Sunday mornings are a fun time for kids at Southridge.  Our program is designed with them in mind and reaches them spiritually at their level.

This year we are beginning a new program called "Elevate."  Kids in first through fourth grades check in at their small group rooms and then head down to the Oasis.  In the Oasis we worship, singing praise songs that the kids are familiar with.  After the preschool-fifth graders return to their rooms, we introduce the Bible lesson with drama, DVD clips and activities to help them further understand the lesson and life application.

We encourage parents to talk with their children after church and throughout the week about the lesson that they learned.  Weekly handouts are given to parents with conversation starters so that they too can be a part of their child's spiritual growth.

Fifth Grade Fellowship

Inviting all 5th graders!  We meet once a month for food, fun and fellowship.  5th grade friends are always welcome!  Add the following dates to your calendar and we will see you at the Oasis Cafe'.

September 21, from 4:00-5:30 p.m.

October 19, from 4:00-5:30 p.m.

November 16, from 4:00-5:30 p.m.

December 14, time TBA

Christmas Musical
Each year, the children of Southridge usher in the Advent season with a musical.  All children, no matter what their musical abilities, are invited to participate.  We also encourage kids who enjoy drama to come as well!

Vacation Bible School
Get ready for some Vacation Bible School fun!   At Southridge, each summer brings a new adventure with theme activities for kindergarten through fifth grade children.   At VBS, kids get to actively participate in a variety of crafts, games, interactive dramas, and fun Bible songs centered on God's Word for them.   Come join the fun... a new adventure each year.
