WHAT'S HAPPENING

FIFTH GRADE FELLOWSHIP- All 5th graders are invited to join us in the cafe/game room on Sunday, August 22, from 4:00-5:30 p.m. for fun games, conversations and yummy snacks. Bring your friends!

MOTHERS OF PRESCHOOLERS (MOPS)- If you are a mother of a child age birth through kindergarten, please join us as we explore "Momology: The Art & Science of Mothering." Wednesday, September 1 we will have a WELCOME BACK PICNIC and regular meetings will begin on September 15. If you have any questions, please contact Betsy Loebig.

FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY- This Dave Ramsey course will be offered this fall on Sunday afternoons from 3:00-5:00 p.m., beginning on September 12. An informational meeting will be held after church on Sunday, August 29 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. for those who are interested in finding out more about the program. Childcare will be available for all FPU meetings and classes. Please contact Brad or Stacey Dayton if you have any questions. You can also got to www.daveramsey.com.

SENIOR MOMENTS LUNCHEON- All older adults are invited to join us on wednesday, September 1 from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. for a luncheon and program in room 146. Sign up at the Welcome Center.

MISSION & OUTREACH

KDC NEEDS- The Kalamazoo Deacons Conference is seeking electric fans for members of our community who have no relief from the summer heat. Donations may be dropped off at 1010 N. Westnedge Ave., Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Back to School supplies such as backpacks, trapper keepers and general school supplies are also being collected for their Back 2 School event.

ROMENCE ROAD FOOD PANTRY- July 2010 set an all time record with over 5 1/2 tons of food brought into the pantry from the Loaves and Fishes warehouse as well as from our supporting churches, that served an average of 15 households per day. Praise the Lord for your generosity which helps make this ministry possible.  Specific needs at this time are travel size toiletry items and large paper grocery bags, which can be dropped of at the Welcome Center. 

oneeighty HIGH SCHOOL MINISTRY

WORSHIP RETREAT- Do you want to be a musician, work with tech or be involved with worship arts at oneeighty? are you a 9th-12th grade student? If you answered yes, then this retreat is for you! we will be covering a lot of stuff for the fall, as well as having tons of fun in the sun! Contact Tori Walker ASAP.

ignite- Come together on the last two Sunday's in August for "Momentum." We'll prepare for the school year with a time of prayer and worship along with other creative ways to seek God's influence in our lives so that we can make an impact this school year!

LAKE PARTY- The Ossewaarde's will host a oneeighty Lake party on Wednesday, September 1, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Click here for directions to the O's house.

FBIC MIDDLE SCHOOL MINISTRY

TUESDAY TURNAROUND- Come hang out at the Oasis from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 17. You can play hockey, basketball and volleyball in the gym, frisbee, football and soccer outside, pool and air hockey in the game room or bowl on the wii! Snacks will be available for a minimal cost. Punch cards for the snack bar are available in $5 or $10 increments.

POOL PARTY- Our last pool party of the summer will be held on Friday, August 27, from 7:00-10:00 p.m. at the Niven's house. We will swim, play games and of course, eat! Bring a suit (girls, one piece suits only please) and towel and come enjoy summer with your friends. Click here for directions.

WATER WARS- Join us for a Wet & Wild Fall Kick-Off on Friday, September 10 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. here at church! events will include ice cream slip n' slide, water balloon sling shot and more. There will be awesome giveaways, great food and amazing fun for all 6th, 7th and 8th graders!
